THE RIGHT MINDSET
So one day, I was going through status updates on WhatsApp and I came across a post by someone I knew from university and this was what she wrote: wrote: “Someone should do my sub for me na 😭😭😭. What kind of friends do I have sef 😥😥😥😥”.
Honestly I was triggered, like what the hell... could never be me tho.. lol 😂... mehn I pity her friends.
This further reminded me of one time in school, during chapel service, the chaplain was praying and then declared that God will provide for us so much that we will be buying meals for our friends and doing other things for people. The way I screamed amen ehn. In my mind I wanted to be the one that will have so much that will in turn be blessing others. So you can imagine the utter shock I felt when after the service a course mate of mine came to meet me and others to ‘book’ herself as one of the people that we will be buying meals for (after God provides).
Can you just imagine, when you should be praying to be a blessing, all you’re concerned about is to be collecting... could never be me 😂😂😂.
I’m not one to judge people but these cases got me thinking, particularly because both of the cases are referring to a particular person.
A lot of people are more concerned about how they will receive from others and not how to give.
From the story of the widow who gave her last in the Bible, we can see that you don’t have to wait till you have in abundance before you give. That little you have will go a long way.
Your goal in life should be how you can be a blessing to others.
Even our lord Jesus was quoted to have said in Acts 20:35 that IT IS MORE BLESSED TO GIVE THAN TO RECEIVE!!!
So dear reader ask yourself how much of a blessing you have been to others. If you find yourself lacking, it’s not too late to do better.
Happy giving. 😁😁😁
