1 Letter to my Dad!
Dear Femi Okeowo,
You are loved and appreciated.
You have taught me to aspire to be the best in all I do, that I could achieve everything, you have taught me to always take responsibility for all my actions and that self pity never solves anything. You have shown me how to be patient, give other people a chance and never just jump into conclusions and give up on people. You’ve taught me confidence and how to really value myself. You’ve taught me determination and the benefits of hard work, you’ve shown how passion is necessary in all I do.
You are the soothing voice in every shout of mummy, you are the voice of reason in every disagreement.
In you I see a lot of values worth emulating, in you I have more than a dad but also a friend.
You may not have been so around like mummy but your influence was greatly felt and invaluable. Your quiet but strong presence meant a lot.
Thanks for all the laughter, you showed that we can find happiness in the littlest things.
Although you’re not perfect, I know you put effort and this makes me happy.
I’ll forever be grateful for the lessons, conversations, motivation and proper communication.
Thanks for always seeking my opinion and taking my advise, it made me acknowledge my importance. Thanks for all the compliments.
I promise to make you proud and do things right.
I’m honored to be your daughter.
Ebunoluwa Okeowo.
