TO PEARLY ❤️❤️❤️

Dearest Pearly,

I remember when we first met, maybe not the day but yes the period, I remember what happened 😅.

You came for CUCC rehearsal and when you were to introduce yourself you came up and the first thing you said was “sing praises”, you didn’t get a lot of responses which was honestly not surprising Cos I mean, only a few people knew the response to the statement, I didn’t even know then, but that didn’t discourage you, instead you went ahead to ‘school’ us on the appropriate response. I remember you saying “ when I say sing praises, you’ll reply with to God” 😁it was like we were back in nursery school and you were making us repeat the alphabet after you. 😂
I remember thinking how bold and outspoken you were.

You introduced yourself and I think at that time you mentioned that you were Anglican and that day I knew I had found a new friend.

The second encounter I can clearly remember with you was when we were informed that 100 and 200 level will be ministering on Thursday service. The hymn was “I’m pressing on the upward way”
I was told to take the verses but in my normal scaredy cat nature I said no and then I suggested you. I came to call you and just as I thought, you accepted and l was so in awe like this new girl is so bold 😂 we eventually split the verses, you took 1 and I took 2 or something like that sha.

Well, that’s you Pearl, intelligent, smart, wise, beautiful, kind, principled, gingered, adorable, gracious see ehn, you are one of a kind and I totally admire you. Have I ever told you that you have the best voice ever, I bet I have Cos Whenever I hear you sing I’m just like burst my brain 😂

Subsequently, we progressed from being just members of the same service unit, to being friends and from then you immediately became family. Yes, my ‘sistersister’ 😀... my entire family loves you!

I really don’t want to make this long, even though there are so many things to say but I just wanted you to know that I’ll forever be grateful for the gift of you.

Thanks for everything, for making my hair for free that year, thanks for putting up with me, thanks for always keeping in touch, thanks for loving my siblings.

I hope you never stop smiling, I hope you never stop singing.

I hope your dreams are coming to pass and even though your answer may be no or not yet, I hope you never give up.
More than anything, I want you to be happy Pearl. You deserve all the good things in the world.

With love from your Bun-Bun 😅
